The Project

Introduction

At All Hallows Church, Cheadle, we specialise in transforming hard-to-heat buildings into comfortable, welcoming spaces. Our focus is on precision, professionalism, and providing clear guidance at every stage of the project.

By installing discreet Connect Infrared Heaters paired with smart zonal controls, we have provided reliable, energy-efficient warmth that supports the church’s move toward its net-zero goals.

Project Challenge

Implementing an efficient infrared heating system at All Hallows required careful planning and consideration. Poor preparation could lead to a system that is neither efficient nor easy to manage, potentially wasting energy and compromising comfort.

Zoning – Through discussions with Reverend Paul, we gained valuable insights into the building’s specific heating requirements. These conversations helped us determine how the space could be divided into zones, ensuring that each area receives the right amount of heat according to its use.

Controls – Designing appropriate controls was essential to manage the system effectively. By carefully identifying the zones and their heating needs, we could plan a control system that maximizes efficiency, allowing each area to be heated independently and responsively. Properly designed controls are key to achieving both comfort and energy savings.

THE CORRECT CHOICE

The chosen heaters was the 3.2 kilowatt Connect Infrared Onyx heater upper wall mounted in the main hall and the sloping ceiling in the meeting room, The office also had a 1.5 kilowatt Onyx installed

FUNCTIONALITY

Once we’ve discussed the ideas and reassured the customer of our aims we then move onto the design phase.
We identify the planned locations for the heaters. Here, the high positioning of the Connect Onyx heaters was the most appropriate positioning this was the ideal decision.

THE INSTALLATION

The installation was scheduled for April 2024, lasting four to five days with three to four electricians. The church stayed operational throughout. Electrical upgrades were required, supported by the existing three-phase 100A supply.

THE FINISHED PROJECT

The installation completed, the commissioning of all controls has resulted in a fantastic new heating system for All Hallows Church, an up to date way to control their heating, a new warm church for the congregation to share their time.

THE CONCLUSION

After several months of dreams, expectations and hard work the whole project was completed in April 2024 and ready for the future and a new way of heating a Church. Keeping everything managed and controlled, ensuring the entire congregation are warm and comfortable.
